Todd Huinker, 60, of Oelwein passed away Saturday April 18, 2026 at MercyOne Medical Center in Oelwein. Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 PM on Friday May 1, 2026 at the Geilenfeld-Buehner Funeral Home of Oelwein. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 AM on Saturday May 2, 2026 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Oelwein with Fr. Ray Atwood officiating.

Todd Joseph Huinker was born to Darnell and Victoria Huinker on September 15, 1966, and was raised in Oelwein, Iowa. He graduated with the Class of 1983. In 1985, Todd married Amanda Straw, and together they welcomed two children, Tristan and Preston. They later divorced.

Todd was known for his wonderful sense of humor and his magnetic charm. He loved meeting people and never hesitated to make new friends or engage in great conversations. His natural charisma led him to a successful career in car sales, working with Pat McGrath Chevyland and C&S Cars.

In his free time, Todd enjoyed taking small trips, golfing, fishing, riding his motorcycle, socializing, and, most of all, spending time with his family. He cherished being a grandpa to his only grandchild, Sebastian.

Todd deeply loved his family and friends. He will be remembered with love and missed dearly by all who knew him.

Left to celebrate Todd’s life are his children: Preston (Ivy Green) Huinker of Oelwein and Tristan Huinker-Westpfahl of Oelwein; his grandson Sebastian Huinker; his father Darnell (Karen) Huinker of Cabot, AR; his siblings: Terry (JoAnn) Huinker of Oelwein, Christopher (Megan) Huinker of Cabot, AR and Jeff Gries of McGregor; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother Victoria Huinker.
